Fab 5 and UW graduate students dancing in the Grand Hall

Dance

Experience dance inspired by visual art at the Museum of Glass. From modern dance to break dance, we enjoying giving visitors a unique way to experience the art on view in our galleries.

Many weekends throughout the year, you’ll get a chance to see some of the area’s most talented dancers performing site-specific pieces that are choreographed as interpretations of exhibition artwork. Always crowd-pleasers, these dance performances encourage you to think about art in new ways and to try and see the connections between movement and art like sculptures, paintings and vessels.

Just to mention a few, we’re proud to host Peter Kyle, MFA students from the UW Dance Program, Fab 5, The Tacoma Dance Collective, Barefoot Studios and Dance Theatre NW.
